Family First Midwifery Team
Jetta Anderson CPM, LM
Hi, I’m Jetta. I am a CPM, LM and am beyond thrilled to bring to the Phoenix community Family First Midwifery. i have been a doula and a midwife, attending births for over 17 years. I absolutely love my job working with families to bring them the birth experience they desire and to aid them learning more about labor and delivery in a manner that empowers them!
I am so thrilled to bring to you a full service Family First Midwifery team working both behind the scenes as well as directly with clients in order to bring you the best quality care during your pregnancy, delivery and postpartum time with Family First Midwifery.
This team of individuals are professional, knowledgeable, powerful forces in the birth world and they make up a strong and empowering team to provide you with the absolute best homebirth experience you can have.
Member of the Family First Midwifery team as a student.
Christy resides in Mesa with her husband Alex and their three children, Marilynn, 12, Claire, 3, and Asher, 1. All born at home with wonderful midwifery care. She enjoys spending time in nature while boating on the lake, running long distances in the mountains, and everything in between.
Her journey into birth work began in 2006 with the birth of her first child. She found her prenatal care was lacking any actual ‘care’. This lead her to switch to homebirth midwifery care at 20 weeks pregnant and finally felt the compassion she was looking for. That experience lit a fire in her and she knew she wanted to become a midwife herself.
Christy completed her 300-hour prenatal and postpartum yoga training in 2012. Helping expecting mothers to stay strong and healthy through their pregnancies as well as connect after baby arrives. She went on to pursue doula work in 2015 with multiple trainings including The Holy Work of a Doula, The Birth Haven Doula Training, Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula Course, Spinning Babies, and many more. In 2018, Christy finally made the leap to begin her midwifery apprenticeship. Working alongside Jetta and the Family First Midwifery team, she is getting hands-on experience as well as researching evidence-based practices.
Christy continues to provide doula services, placenta encapsulation, Hypnobabies Childbirth Education Courses, and prenatal yoga lessons. She also serves as president of a local non-profit the AZ Breastfeeding Bag Project, providing breastfeeding education and supplies to new mothers across Arizona.
Member of the Family First Midwifery Team as the Senior Student
Lacey Tackett is a senior student with 3 years of Midwifery training. Her own home birth, along with years of Doula work, gives her the ability to empathize and create an experience as unique as each of our Mamas are. Lacey came to Family First Midwifery at the beginning of February 2018 and since has completed the majority of her training. She plans to test for her license early this year. Her Fiance’ and two little boys motivate her to continue catching babies and encourage her to grow and get better every day. She would love to be a part of your birth story!
