Ashley is an Arizona native and loves living in the valley! She began her journey into the birth world in 2019 when she moved across the world to the Philippines where she spent 3 years serving in a birth center for low income families. It was there that Ashley fell in love with the midwifery model of care.
It is her honor and joy to walk alongside women and their families as they venture to welcome new life into the world. She desires to build trust and intimacy with each women she gets the opportunity to serve during this special season.

When Ashley is not loving on moms and babies she enjoys hiking, camping, reading and serving at her church.

Madeline Judd CPM, LM

Midwife

My name is Madeline and, like Jetta, I am also a PNW native. I have helped women have babies in a vast variety of settings and locations and I am so blessed to have landed here at Family First for the last 2 years.

I have a background in nursing but changed paths when I saw the brokenness of the medical system from the inside. I was initially trained in midwifery through the Global Organization of Midwives with the intent to work overseas. I went on to work with the founder of that program at her home birth practice in Hawaii for 2 years before finding my way to Ecuador to work at a birth center there during the onset and height of COVID19. I then worked at a birth center in California before moving to Phoenix while finishing up my education through the Midwives College of Utah. I obtained my CPM through the North American Registry of Midwives and have been loving on families here ever since.

Ashley Anders

Director of Family Relations, Birth Assistant, Newborn Care Specialist, Postpartum Doula

Ashley was born and raised in Arizona and currently resides in Gilbert with her husband Micah and their 3 kids, Tyler, Bennett, and Navy. Ashley and her family also have 2 golden retrievers that they love SO much! When Ashley isn't busy with babies and their families, you'll find her hanging with friends and family, spending time on their boat, at the Pilates studio, or trying to catch up on sleep whenever she can.

Ashley started her journey in the birth world as a birth doula 12 years ago, after having her second baby. She always knew that supporting families in one of the most vulnerable times of their lives was something she wanted to do. Ashley feels that supporting women and families in "the 4th trimester" is just as important as prenatal care, and she is currently serving women as a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist.

When Ashley was in labor with her last baby, Jetta was by her side supporting and encouraging her as her doula. Their friendship has grown exponentially over the years and has opened up many opportunities to work together and share the thing they love most: supporting families. Ashley is honored to be one of FFMs birth assistants and the Director of Family Relations for Family First Midwifery.
